Self-pay prices
We advise that prior to injections patients should have up-to-date diagnostic imaging. This is to ensure that there are no other causes for the pain or any new disease process that we do not know about. If your diagnostic imaging is more than one year old we will arrange for you to have new radiographs (x-ray), CT or MRI depending on which area is affected.
Joint and soft tissue injections
Additional costs:
- If you are referring yourself (i.e. you do not have a referral letter from a clinician such as a GP or a physiotherapist) an initial telephone consultation with a radiologist is necessary before an onsite appointment can be booked. Telephone or Zoom consultation £105

Spine intervention and MRI
Our doctors have admitting rights for MRI and other procedures at the Manor Hospital (Oxford), Genesis Care Oxford, Cobalt Health (Cheltenham) or European Scanning (Harley Street London). Prices depend on the examination and location of the facility. For example, knee or lumbar spine examination in Cheltenham costs £252, whilst a standing, sitting and lying MRI examination of the whole spine using specialist machine in London is at the upper end of the range.
We arrange and report the examinations using electronic links to our cloud-based patient archiving and communication system (PACS). The remote hospital will bill patients at the same rate as their standard charges. We will make the referral, arrange investigation, report the examination and archive the images at no additional charge for those referrals channelled through our practice. The images are automatically transferred to us electronically, we report them electronically and make the online images and report available to any of your other medical advisers.
